Senior Portraits!

Did you know that the tradition of having senior pictures taken goes back to the 1920s?  How wild is that?  All seniors, whether they are graduating High School or College, should have senior pictures taken.  These pictures document our achievements and are something to look back on in the years to come.  What’s even more wonderful about having your senior portrait done today is that you no longer have to go with the boring, same ole head tilt and dull back ground.  Today only our imagination sets the limit to what you can have done.  I wish I had taken my High School Senior Pictures around the town I graduated in instead of in a studio.  I think I would have enjoyed them more and I would have pictures to show people where I was living at the time. What are some of your ideas for senior pictures?

Posted below is a senior portrait I recently took in Belhaven, North Carolina. We had so much fun and had so many locations to choose from that I took over 1700 pictures that day! A week later and I am still editing them and I can’t decide which one is my favorite!

Ugh! My Senior Pictures were HORRIBLE! I wish I had someone else take them because I went through the photographer the school had set up and I hate my pictures, which is unfortunate since these pictures are now all around my parents house!

For these pictures you had 3 different settings taken. One inside with a white background and a white column that you had to propped your elbow on, the traditional head tilted to the side dressed up version with pearls and then the outside portrait with either the fence or propped up against a tree. I will admit high school was my awkward period, but these pics did not help anything!

I really wish I had even thought about going somewhere else. Pics like the one above would have been SOOOOO much nicer!

Good work!
